Nearly all species of sea turtles are endangered – their numbers dropping due to poaching and over-exploitation, climate change and pollution, habitat destruction, accidental capture in fishing gear and trauma from boats. Our partner organization in Costa Rica helps sea turtles through conservation, research, sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation.

The Galapagos Islands are known for giant tortoises, finches of many beaks and secluded beaches that last forever. Closed to tourists at night, you and the small team of sea turtle scientists will walk these beaches flagging turtle nesting points. During the day these beaches will be where you clean up debris and invasive species. Truly, this is a lifetime experience!

Take part in the feeding, cleaning and enrichment of these iconic species.
The Galapagos are known for their giant tortoises! Spend time in the care of a local family while you care for these mesmerizing animals. No experience is required, all your training is onsite while you learn about the conservation of these mostly gentle giants. This captive breeding program is a wonderful example of successful conservation and it happens to be in paradise!
